AUSTIN, Texas (AP) — Country music legend Willie Nelson led more than a thousand spectators in singing “vote them out” Saturday from the steps of the Texas Capitol during a rally wrapping up a four-day march in support of Democratic state legislators who bolted for Washington two weeks ago to block GOP-backed voting restrictions.
Families with lawn chairs spread out across the sprawling Capitol greens in Austin. Clergy, politicians, constituents and musicians all spoke out about the proposals to impose voter ID requirements, limit ballot drop boxes and mail voting, and strip local officials of their election authority.

MADISON, Ala. — Madison City Schools has released its reentry plan for the 2021-22 school year.
According to the plan, students will return to Madison City Schools campuses on August 4 for traditional learning. Virtual options are available by emailing curriculum@madisoncity.k12.al.us.

MADISON COUNTY, Ala. — Officials are requesting the public's help in searching for an inmate who was incorrectly released after posing as another inmate.
Madison County Sheriff's Office (MCSO) stated Darren Jermaine Chipman, 31, of Huntsville, was released Saturday morning after using another inmate's information in order to be released.
Chipman is a Black male, 5'10, 130-140 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. He wears glasses.

TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — Publix is making masks mandatory again for employees as coronavirus cases spike in Florida and concerns over the delta variant grow.
A spokesperson for the grocery chain confirmed to WFLA on Friday that Publix will once again require employees to wear face coverings over their noses and mouths regardless of their vaccination status. The new policy goes in effect Aug. 2.
Masks will not be required for customers but the spokesperson said, "we encourage customers to follow CDC guidance."

Guntersville inmate dies Saturday morning

GUNTERSVILLE, Ala. — An inmate in Guntersville died early Saturday morning.
According to Guntersville Police, the inmate was found trying to injure himself in the jail and was moved downstairs for closer observation.
Officials say the inmate eventually became unresponsive. Paramedics were alerted and began treatment, before they were moved to the hospital.
After a period of time, the inmate was pronounced dead by emergency room doctors.
Authorities with the State Bureau of Investigation were notified and will conduct an investigation.

Israeli e-commerce fraud protection platform company Riskified begins trading today on the New York Stock Exchange, at a company valuation of $3.3 billion. Riskified becomes the 10th Israeli tech company (not including SPAC mergers) to hold an IPO on Wall Street in 2021.
Yesterday, the company priced 17.3 million shares at $21 per share, above the previously announced range of $18-$20. Riskified is raising $363 million, which could grow by an additional $55.1 million, if the underwriters exercise their options within 30 days at the IPO price.
