The United States Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) announced last week that those fully vaccinated no longer need to wear a mask or distance themselves from others.
Well, that’s for the American public. Other developed countries that have vaccinated in full their citizens against the coronavirus disease (Covid-19) may be issuing similar directives five months after they started their inoculation programs last December.
No such directive is expected to come anytime soon from our own Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF) that is leading the fight against Covid-19. Our vaccination campaign officially ...

Malilong: Pacquiao for President
May 15, 2021
That was a vicious hook the Bulacan chapter of the PDP-Laban threw last week at Manny Pacquiao, boxing icon, senator of the Republic and the ruling party’s president.
The chapter, one of the many spread all over the country to accommodate the turncoats who took shelter in the administration’s camp in 2016, demanded during a “consultative meeting” on May 7 that Pacquiao explain why he should not be punished for publicly claiming that President Duterte’s handling of the West Philippine Sea issue and the Covid-19 pandemic was lacking when he has gone “thru official party channels.”

Should the government reward individuals who get vaccinated against the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19)?
Of course not. Why should it?
Here in the Philippines, I truly believe the Duterte administration has been doing its best to address the pandemic. It’s not the same as saying that it has been successful in handling the situation because, let’s face it, it has committed a lot of blunders since the health crisis started more than a year ago. But hey, at least the vaccines are slowly trickling in to be administered to the public.

In the work environment, successful achievers are those who effectively make use of their skills and abilities and are able to present themselves as capable, competent and confident. Solon: Easy rules to help you decrease calories
May 15, 2021
A general rule of thumb for losing weight is to decrease your caloric input by 500 calories per day. 500 calories is roughly two cups of rice, four packs of crackers, or two regular cheeseburgers. Others also swear by tracking calories in the same manner that you track finances. Every time calories come in you can note it down in an app like myfitnessPal, the same thing when calories go out. Some of us are able to do this, while others are turned off that with everything going on in our life, we still have to weigh and write ...

Pages: 3x3 basketball
May 15, 2021
Two years ago when I stepped inside Glorietta in Makati, the mall shook.
It reverberated not because of the music of the band “IV of Spades.” The screaming voices did not come from the kids watching Cartoon Network’s Shriektober, featuring The Powerpuff Girls. The echoes resonated from the bouncing of the ball. It originated from the squeaking sounds of the shoes, the whistle of the referee and the electronic dance music that awakened mall-goers.
The game was “3x3 basketball” and the dribbling cascaded throughout the five floors of the Ayala-owned mall.
Yes, basketball was played not inside MOA Arena ...

Step right up. We have two contenders vying for the price in this not-so-prestigious contest.
Ahead of the Floyd Mayweather Jr-Logan Paul spectacle penciled for June 6 in Miami, the two protagonists were supposed to meet up in a presser to hype the event.
Predictably, moronic contests of this sort often generate side circuses owing to the questionable character of the personalities involved.
We were not disappointed.
