Kerry James Marshall’s 1991 painting Nat-Shango (Thunder), a portrait of an enslaved man, Nat Turner, who led an 1831 rebellion in Virginia, will be sold at auction next month. The painting will be sold during Christie’s contemporary art evening sale on May 11, where it is expected to achieve a price of $6.5 million–$8.5 million.

Sigma has introduced its 35mm F1.4 DG DN Art for Sony E and Panasonic/Leica/Sigma L-mount bodies. This newly designed lens has 15 elements in 11 groups, including 'FLD', 'ELD', 'SLD' glass (all variants of low-dispersion glass aimed at minimizing chromatic aberrations), as well as aspherical elements. The lens' single focus element is driven by a quiet stepping motor.
The minimum focus distance is 30cm (11.8") and the maximum magnification is 0.19x. Sigma says that the lens' 11 aperture blades will produce 'smooth, round bokeh'.
